Chess for Kids – Monday – Lunch – Grades 2-6 – SPRING 2024

Participants will be split into two groups: Beginners and Intermediate/Advanced.

At the start of the first class, we will evaluate the skill level of each student, based on their experience with chess. Participants will then be split into two groups: Beginners and Intermediate/Advanced. This way, each child will be able to learn and improve in a way that best suits their individual needs and skill level without feeling overwhelmed.

• Beginner: includes learning about the different pieces and their movements as well as basic rules and principles.
• Intermediate/Advanced: provides a better understanding of the principles of the game, introduces students to various tactical maneuvers and strategies.

All levels aim to enhance kids’ ability to analyze positions and make calculated decisions.

Overall, Chess for kids will provide a comprehensive learning experience for all participants through both theory and play.
