DESCRIPTION:Come get your holiday shopping done and support local vendors!\n\n\n\nThis event is open to everyone\, including members of the public. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Holiday Fair is only a success with your help and we are looking for the following donations please: \n\n\n\n\nBaked goods for the bake table – may be store bought as well (to be dropped off during school hours Friday\, November 29th\, or from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM that same evening)\n\n\n\nChili for our Clearpoint Chili Off (to be sold at the Claus Café)\, best one wins the title of “Master Chili Chef”.\n\n\n\nNew and gently used items for the Kids Only Room (please see below for a description of the Kids Only Room as well as a list of suggestions). Inside\, with the help of an adult\, the children go shopping with tickets (tickets are purchased at the front ticket desk) for gifts for family members and others who they wish to shop for (even sometimes for themselves). Once bought\, the gifts are wrapped and tagged by volunteers and the children leave having done much of their holiday shopping. \n\n\n\nSuggestions for donations for Kids Only Room: \n\n\n\n\nNew or gently used mugs\, trinkets\, ties\, cufflinks\, photo frames\, jewelry/trinket boxes\, books\, puzzles\, toys for all ages\, baby items\, mommy items\, daddy items\n\n\n\nNew makeup sets\, nail polish sets\, body wash sets\, hand lotion sets\, bubble bath sets\, craft sets\, perfume sets\, cologne sets\, note paper sets\n\n\n\nEtc.\, as the above are just a few suggestions\n\n\n\n\nRaffle Prizes:\n\n\n\nSuggestions for raffle prizes: \n\n\n\n\nGift Cards (for restaurants\, stores\, etc.)\n\n\n\nGift Certificates (for facials\, massages\, haircuts\, photo shoots\, classes\, memberships\, subscriptions\, activities\, etc.)\n\n\n\nEvent Tickets (for sports\, concerts\, circus\, movies\, monster trucks\, museums\, etc.)\n\n\n\nPromotional Items\n\n\n\nToys (such as brand new Lego sets\, brand new board games\, brand new Barbie`s\, brand new art & craft sets\, etc.)\n\n\n\nArtwork & Crafts\n\n\n\nEtc.\, as the above are just a few suggestions\n\n\n\n\nDomino’s Pizza and 3 Seours:\n\n\n\nPlease come hungry to the fair! Aside from having our Chili Off and refreshments\, Domino’s Pizza (Pointe-Claire) and 3 Seours will be there serving fresh food from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. \n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The Clearpoint Home & School Association has partnered with Media Smarts\, a Canadian not-for-profit organization for digital and media literacy\, to offer a free online webinar to give Clearpoint parents tips on managing kids’ screen time\, how to keep your kids safe online\, and the importance of setting family internet rules. We hope you can join us for this presentation and discussion! \n\n\n\nKids today are going online at younger ages – which means that parents have to get involved in their digital lives much sooner than they used to. Although you may sometimes feel out of your depth when it comes to technology\, as a parent you have an important role to play in helping your kids safely navigate the online spaces and activities they enjoy. The Explore Digital Parenting workshop offered by MediaSmarts looks at the various activities kids love to do online and offers tips and strategies for everything from Facebook privacy settings\, online shopping\, cyberbullying\, to protecting your computer from viruses.
